WELCOME TO VINYLJAM.COM!
Vinyl Jam is a former record label / studio project / band based in Helsinki, Finland. Vinyl Jam was founded and is kept rolling by Andre Solomko, independent producer, composer and saxophonist.
We are happy to announce that we are now signed by French label Favorite Recordings, and our future releases will carry the Favorite logo. Worldwide distribution is handled by Pusher Distribution, Paris, France.
Our mission is within logo "AAA", which can be found on all our releases: "Analog, Analog, Analog", meaning we are doing records. Please note that our productions are not only recorded and mixed in analog, they are also mastered in analog. This is unfortunately not very typical these days. Approximately 90% of modern vinyl is done from digital sources, cut back to analog media. We feel it to be deeply wrong. We believe that vinyl record is an analogue media, and should be preserved as such. So you can call us the "last dinosaurs" if you wish... |

"Kino" lp release date 10.06.2009.
| The whole concept of this album is a soundtrack for an obscure 70s movie. Complimented with fragile and sweet voice of vocalist Antonia Dahlström, there are complex sound textures, exploring all power of vintage keyboards and effects. The record is produced in a fully analogue environment with minimum overdubs, following our label's slogan "like in old glorious times". Recorded at VinylJam studio and mixed at Clonework studio. Direct-from-tape mastering was done by Graeme Durham (the Exchange studios, London). Produced by Andre Solomko. Vinyl Jam Records/Bisamedia (BISAM00003). |

Our self-titled pilot release is a revival of the classical 70's club sound: a mixture of soft-funk, bluesy soul and latin rock.
